Ronnel Nolos is a PhD student in Environmental Science at the University of Arizona and a Fulbright scholar from the Philippines. His research interests center on the ecological and health risks of potentially toxic elements (PTEs) and phytoremediation strategies for rehabilitating mined-out areas. His current PhD research focuses on a nickel hyperaccumulator plant and its potential application in phytomining.
