Megan Nickerson

My primary research interest is in the intersection between endophytic fungi and the chemical environment of their hosts. My research centers on using metabolomics, genomics, and molecular biology to identify the genetic basis for microbial functional traits. I hopes to then use this knowledge to better understand patterns of microbial community assembly, biodiversity, nutrient cycling, and ecosystem function.
